Being Featured on Amazon’s WriteOn by Kindle website

I know this is kind of late, but it had totally slipped my mind to share this when it’d happened.

On February 26th, 2015, I had received an email from the community manager of WriteOn by Kindle, which is a writing-sharing site similar to Wattpad. I had posted my story on there about two weeks prior from receiving this email.

He had wanted to let me know that he was “enjoying [my] story, ‘Far From Normal’ so far.” He also thought the “premises [was] clever and the execution entertaining.” I beamed and radiated sunshine like our Sun itself.

He went on telling me how he wanted to “feature [my] story on the front page of the site some time.”

Let’s just take a moment to let this sink in.

He wanted to feature my story on the front page of the site. My story! Of course I immediately emailed him back accepting the offer. It was great!

I’m not writing this to gloat and brag about this event, far from it. It was just very far from normal (pun intended).

But I wanted to share the news with my fellow writers and readers because it was a big moment for me in my life. I’ve never really won any medals or awards growing up. Well, maybe a participation award in 5th grade, but everybody got that!

So I just wanted to share and assure that hard work won’t go unnoticed. And to keep writing and following your passion and dreams!

“Sure, the pills might be allowing me to be healthy and not get sick, but I’m pretty sure calling forth the dead was not a common side effect for any medicine for that matter.” – Far From Normal

“A middle school boy’s murder was the hot topic of the day. In a small town like this, news of anything out of the ordinary spread like wildfire.” – Far From Normal

Give it a read – ‘Far From Normal’

Scientific experiments happen every day, but what would you do if you found out you were one of them…

Growing up in Meadow Creek, a small research town located practically in the middle of nowhere, daily pills and monthly doctor visits were part of the norm. But when Elara discovers a folder labeled Project Exo, she learns that she and four others are part of a genetic experiment. Always hidden from the truth, new discoveries soon make her rethink her very own existence. With dead animals appearing outside her home and recent murders occurring, Elara will find her life spiraling Far From Normal.
